NE Portland (Alameda)

Completely rewilding an urban yard and adding a rainwater garden, boulder, hardscaping, and log features.

We started this project by ripping out about 20 non-native bushes.

Then we dug out the rainwater garden, put the boulders and river rock in, and then planted the native bushes, plants, grasses, and flowers in the rainwater garden.

We laid a natural stone path along the back of the house and planted native plants around it.

We also planted a biodiverse privacy hedge with Nootka rose, evergreen huckleberry, highbush cranberry, Douglas spirea, and sword fern.

The front was replanted with native shade plants, vine maple, indian plum, sword and lady ferns.
