Service Description

Our guided hikes are an opportunity to step into the living ecosystems of the Pacific Northwest and learn directly from the landscape. Together we explore forests, meadows, rocky slopes, and river corridors while learning how these ecosystems function—how native plants grow in relationship with soil, water, wildlife, fungi, and each other. Along the trail we’ll identify native species, talk about seasonal changes, observe wildlife habitat, and discuss the natural patterns that allow these landscapes to thrive without irrigation, fertilizers, or constant maintenance. These hikes are designed to help you bring those same ecological principles back home. As we walk, we’ll translate what we see in the wild into practical strategies for urban and suburban yards—how to layer plants like a forest, build meadow systems, create habitat, manage water naturally, and choose native plants that match your site conditions. The goal is to help you see landscapes differently and give you the knowledge and confidence to recreate resilient, wildlife-supporting ecosystems right where you live.
