We know our yards could be a little less dependent on us; we just don't always know how to get there. No matter how large or small an area we're working with - maintenance, weeds, invasive plants, dry areas, and erosion are all problems - it's good to know nature's got a solution, and we can help you find one that fits your space.
Before We Come
You’ll complete a short form similar to the one used for a Backyard Habitat visit. Tell us what is working, what is not, how you want to use the space, and what you hope it could become. Anything left blank can be filled in during the site visit, you don't need to finish it before we get there.
During the Visit
A Site Visit can last anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. We’ll talk about what you want from your space, how you use it, and how much maintenance you want to take on. From there, we can explore options and work through important details like microclimates, plant heights, and what will work best where. ​
After the Visit
We’ll turn what we learned into a clear proposal explaining what we recommend, why it matters, what needs to happen first, the steps required to complete the work, and what it would cost for Urban Rewilding to do it.
If the larger vision needs to happen over time, we’ll break it into practical phases. You’ll know where to begin and how each step moves the property forward.
Why It Matters
The wrong plant in the wrong place wastes time, water, and money. Work completed in the wrong order often has to be done twice.
A Site Visit helps you avoid those mistakes. It gives you a plan rooted in the reality of your property—not a generic plant list or another round of trial and error.
Your yard could manage rainwater, grow food, create privacy, support wildlife, and give you a beautiful place to spend time. It could become healthier and easier to care for every year.
